During a House Budget Committee hearing today, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee compared President Trump’s new budget proposal, which forces African-Americans and “immigrants” to choose work over government benefits, to slavery. Yep, that is correct—United States Representative Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX) compared cuts to Housing, Medicaid and government food assistance programs like SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) to slavery.

“This spring, over 700,00 people will likely lose food assistance, as states begin to impliment the Trump administration’s expanded SNAP time limit,” Jackson Lee opined. The race-obsessed congresswoman continued, in all of her brilliance, to explain how getting people off government programs and back to work, is tied to slavery. “And what they’re gearing it toward is, that in slavery, they began to characterize the decendents of enslaved Africans as ‘lazy.’ That’s all the stereotypes,” she claimed. “And there were laws that were put in place,  you were picking cotton, you couldn’t get assistance. And so this document is trying to uproot the long belief that poor poeple, particularly African-Americans and now immigrants are lazy,” she added.

Say what???

Acting Director for the White House’s Office of Managment and Budget Russell Vought, interrupted the low-IQ congresswoman, calling her remarks, “ridiculous.” Jackson-Lee snapped back, demanding that she not be interrupted and that she get her alloted time back.
