Joe Biden appeared on a recent episode of CBS’ “60 Minutes” where he tried to downplay the inflation crisis, mumbled through incoherent sentences, had a major statement walked back by the White House which threatened US-China relations, and angered his own supporters by declaring the “pandemic is over.”

During his interview on “60 Minutes,” Biden got into a heated debate with CBS correspondent Scott Pelley over the true nature of the U.S. inflation crisis.

“Mr. President, as you know, last Tuesday, the annual inflation rate came in at 8.3%,” said Pelley. “The stock market nosedived. People are shocked by their grocery bills. What can you do better and faster?”

“Well, first of all, let’s put this in perspective,” responded Biden. “Inflation rate month-to-month was up just an inch, hardly at all.”

Surprised, Pelley asked, “You’re not arguing that 8.3 is good news?”

Biden replied, “No, I’m not saying that it is good news. But it was 8.2 before, I mean, you’re [making it sound like] all of a sudden ‘My God! It went to 8.2%!’ It’s been-”

“It’s the highest inflation rate, Mr. President, in 40 years,” interjected Pelley.

“I got that, but guess where we are. We’re in a position where – for the last several months it hasn’t spiked. It has just barely – been basically even,” Biden said.

After trying to downplay the U.S. inflation crisis and getting called out on it on the spot – something Biden isn’t used to with his carefully-crafted speeches and press conferences – Pelley asked Biden about the accusations that he is unfit to be president due to his age and mental decline.

“You are the oldest president ever… Some people ask whether you are fit for the job, and when you hear that I wonder what you think?” asked Pelley.

“Watch me,” responded Biden. “It’s a matter of, you know, that old expression: ‘the proof of the pudding is in the eating.'”

Pelley then asked, “How would you say your mental focus is?”

“Oh, it’s focused,” laughed Biden. He then went on an incoherent tangent that perfectly disproved the point he was trying to make.

“I’d say it’s – I think it’s – I haven’t- Look. I have trouble even mentioning, even saying to myself in my own head the number of years. I no more think of myself as being as old as I am than fly.”

… What?

As if this wasn’t all embarrassing enough for the U.S., Biden took it one step further, confidently asserting that the U.S. troops would defend Taiwan in the event that China invaded. However, after the interview, a White House official had to retract this statement, and Chinese officials angrily responded to Biden’s dangerously inaccurate claims.

“What should Chinese President Xi know about your commitment to Taiwan?” asked Pelley.

“We agree with what we signed on to, a long time ago,” responded Biden. “And that there’s one China policy and Taiwan makes their own judgments about their independence.”

“But, would U.S. forces defend the island?” pressed the CBS host.

“Yes, if in fact there was an unprecedented attack,” Biden surprisingly stated.

Suddenly, the interview cuts out to inform the viewers that, after the interview, a White House official told CBS that “officially the U.S. will not say whether American forces would defend Taiwan. But the Commander in Chief had a view of his own.”

“So, unlike Ukraine, to be clear sir, U.S. forces, U.S. men and women would defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion?” asked Pelley, giving Biden’s handlers no room to claim a ‘misunderstanding.’

“Yes,” Biden confidently replied.

A White House spokesperson addressed Biden’s claims, saying “The president has said this before, including in Tokyo earlier this year. He also made clear that our Taiwan policy hasn’t changed. That remains true.”

A Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman also commented on Biden’s statements, warning that they sent a “seriously wrong signal” and that China was “strongly dissatisfied” with the U.S. President’s claims.

Meanwhile, Taiwan’s foreign ministry expressed its thanks to Biden for his reaffirmation of the “U.S. government’s rock-solid security commitment to Taiwan.”

Finally, Biden made his very own supporters angry by saying that “the pandemic is over.”

This statement caused Left-wingers to implode with anger as they continue to cling to the COVID pandemic with all of their might.

Dr. Lucky Tran, a science communicator, and climate justice advocate, tweeted a video of protestors disrupting traffic to let the Biden regime know that they aren’t ready to admit the pandemic is over.

Dr. Thrasher, a liberal author, posted his own angry rant on Twitter, saying, “I don’t think I’ve witnessed a single more reckless, irresponsible act of domestic policy by a U.S. president in my lifetime than Biden declaring the pandemic [is over] as thousands die weekly and hundreds of thousands are infected monthly.”

Right-wingers also shot criticism at Biden for his statement about the pandemic, pointing out his deep hypocrisy.

Gov. Ron DeSantis tweeted,

“Biden declared the pandemic is over. So, when will he let those discharged from the military due to vax mandates return to protecting our country?”

Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan tweeted,

“Joe Biden says the pandemic is “over,” but somehow relied on his “emergency” pandemic powers to “forgive” student loans for wealth elites.”

Conservative radio and talk show host Buck Sexton reminded his followers that Biden was ridiculously wearing a mask outside just two weeks prior to his sudden claim that the pandemic is over.

And this is exactly why the White House doesn’t let Biden do interviews.
