Judge James Boasberg just doubled down on his efforts to hinder President Trump’s invocation of the Alien Enemies Act to streamline deportations of violent illegal gang members.
After ruling to block deportation flights under the Alien Enemies Act until March 29th — tomorrow — Judge Boasberg just extended the block two more weeks.
That’s until April 12th.
Here are the details:
NEW: Judge Boasberg has extended his block on Trump deportation flights via the Alien Enemies Act for another two weeks, until at least April 12th. The Trump admin is asking the Supreme Court to step in and overturn Boasberg and a circuit court panel to restart the AEA removals.

Perhaps this ruling shouldn’t be a surprise, given that the Boasberg family profits off of illegal aliens…
Which, by the way, is a clear and complete conflict of interest.
Judge Boasberg should recuse himself from this case entirely.

That’s no surprise, given Boasberg’s wife and daughter are making absolute BANK off illegals.

He’s an activist not a judge. And he has a daughter whose NGO offers legal aid to illegal immigrants, including members of MS-13 and the TdA gang. The NGO is indirectly funded by taxpayers through USAID grants. H/t @amuse pic.twitter.com/jZDe5JJb36

Reuters reported:
U.S. federal judge on Friday extended his temporary halt to President Donald Trump’s use of a 200-year-old wartime law to expel alleged Venezuelan gang members, dealing a setback to the Republican president’s push to speed up the deportations.U.S. District Judge James Boasberg’s temporary restraining order will put Trump’s use of the 1798 Alien Enemies Act on hold until April 12 while litigation plays out. Boasberg issued a two-week freeze on the use of the law during an emergency March 15 hearing after Trump invoked the act.
Judge James Boasberg has stretched his stoppage of President Trump’s ability to deport Venezuelan gang suspects as alien enemies, ordering the administration not to try to oust anyone until at least April 12.
Mr. Trump has decried the judge’s blockade and asked the Supreme Court to step in and end it.
Hours after that request with the justices, Judge Boasberg announced he was doubling down on his March 15 temporary restraining order, which was about to expire. He said he was giving it another two weeks.
What we have here is a case of judicial overreach, with a rogue, activist judge trying to overrule the Commander-in-Chief to protect illegal, violent, criminals.
Meanwhile, President Trump has asked the Supreme Court to intervene and allow for deportations to resume.
