Just six days before the midterm elections, classified documents were recovered from Joe Biden’s private office at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, which functions as a think tank for Biden. Biden used this office after his time as Vice President and did not have the authority to declassify any confidential documents. Unsurprisingly, the White House and the media kept this discovery silent until the story surfaced just a few days ago.

It seems that the Democrats have labeled it as an innocent, harmless mistake. However, Donald Trump faced incredible criticism after an FBI raid at his Florida home for the very same thing, even though he had the power during his presidency to declassify documents and bring them home with him.

Now it is being reported that Biden’s aides have found at least one more batch of classified documents in a second location. Since the first batch of documents had been found, they had been searching for more classified documents in other places Biden may have used.

On Tuesday, Biden spoke out about the discovery of the documents, saying that he was surprised to learn of their existence in his old office and claimed that he does not know what is in them. Biden shared that the documents were found by his lawyers who were cleaning out his office. He added that they “immediately called the [National] Archives” and turned over the documents.

On Wednesday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked why the public was not informed of this finding for over two months. Jean-Pierre refused to answer, saying, “this is under review by the Department of Justice, I’m not gonna go beyond what the president shared yesterday.”

When Nancy Pelosi and AOC were asked by Fox News reporters, they refused to comment and hurried away. However, they couldn’t wait to jump on Trump and the ‘security risk’ he posed when the FBI raided his home, with Pelosi insisting that “no person is above the law, not even the President of the United States.”

It seems that Pelosi’s belief doesn’t apply to those within her own political party.

Conservative filmmaker and journalist Dinesh D’Souza shared his thoughts on Twitter about the hypocrisy being displayed in this situation. He said, “In one sentence, can anyone explain why Trump’s retention of classified documents constitutes a serious crime, if not outright treason, which should bar Trump from forever holding public office, while Biden’s retention of classified documents is benign and without consequence?”
