Kat Timpf is expecting her second child.
The longtime Fox News personality and “Gutfeld!” regular revealed the news during a stand-up set, turning what looked like another punchline into a deeply personal surprise.
It is joyful news after a stretch that tested Timpf and her family in ways few people could imagine.

Timpf shared the announcement with her own audience in an Instagram video recorded during a late-September comedy show. She thanked fans who had attended recent performances for protecting the surprise until she chose to make it public.
She opened her jacket onstage, turned toward the crowd and showed her baby bump. The room erupted before she asked the obvious question: were they surprised?
“So was I,” she said, before moving into the kind of blunt joke that has made her a fixture beside Greg Gutfeld. The announcement was not packaged as a polished celebrity statement; it arrived in the middle of her own stand-up act.
Her husband, Cameron Friscia, is a former Army Ranger who served in Afghanistan. Timpf joked that what he had described as a quick “excursion” was beginning to look like another 18-year commitment, then made clear that the couple is excited to welcome the new child.
She posted the clip in late September and thanked the people who had attended her recent shows for keeping the news quiet until she was ready to share it herself.
The reveal was unmistakably Timpf: personal, unscripted and funny even as it opened the door to a much more serious chapter of her family’s story.
She also confirmed the news again on X on Wednesday with a wonderfully casual reference to “whoever is in my belly.”

The humor sits on top of a far heavier story.
The Los Angeles Times reported that Timpf welcomed her first child, a son, in February 2025. The birth came at the end of a day already transformed by frightening medical news.
About 15 hours before she went into labor, doctors diagnosed her with ductal carcinoma in situ, an early form of breast cancer in which abnormal cells remain inside a milk duct. She later said her son may have helped save her life by putting her in the medical setting where the cancer was discovered.
Timpf underwent a double mastectomy the following month, a decision she described as one of the hardest she had ever made. The first weeks of motherhood were shadowed by uncertainty about her prognosis and by questions about what treatment would demand next.
She eventually returned to television and stand-up comedy, speaking candidly about surgery, reconstruction and the emotional weight of losing her breasts just after becoming a mother. She has used the experience to encourage other women to feel less ashamed of their own mastectomy scars.
The paper also noted that Timpf later underwent reconstructive surgery and continued sharing that part of her recovery in public rather than hiding what the procedures had taken from her.
Her second pregnancy comes a little over a year after those operations, giving the announcement a weight that goes far beyond an ordinary celebrity baby reveal.
This second pregnancy brings all of that history with it.
Timpf has said the experience is exciting and difficult at the same time. Rather than pretending otherwise, she is handling it the way she has handled so much of the last two years: with blunt honesty, dark humor and a refusal to let fear have the final word.
Her family’s cancer story is also being turned into something practical. Timpf’s sister Julia is preparing to run the 2026 New York City Marathon with Fred’s Team to raise money for cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering, where Kat received treatment.
The family has lived through the diagnosis, the surgery, a new baby and the sudden death of Timpf’s father. On Wednesday, she wrote about how badly he had wanted to be a grandfather and how he had set up a crib at his Michigan home before dying unexpectedly.
All my dad wanted was to be around his grandchild. He set up a crib at his house in Michigan just months before he dropped dead out of nowhere, talking about how grandpa’s house was going to be my son’s favorite place to be. That loss makes the timing bittersweet. A new child is coming into a family that knows exactly how quickly life can change.
For Timpf, the announcement is bigger than celebrity news. It is a reminder that joy can still arrive after the diagnosis, after the operating room and after the grief.
And yes, she is still making jokes.
