Shellyne Rodriguez, a recently-fired left-wing professor who worked at Hunter College in New York City but was fired after holding a machete to the neck of a New York Post journalist, surrendered to law enforcement on Thursday morning. As Rodriguez entered the NYPD’s 43rd Precinct, it was observed by reporters that she had “FTP” (F*** the Police) tattooed on her fingers.

On May 2, a group of pro-life students at Hunter College had an information table set up, quietly promoting their cause. Rodriguez angrily approached the pro-life group and said they were “triggering” her students by having a different viewpoint than theirs.

“This is f***ing propaganda,” said Rodriguez, asking, “What are you going to do, like, anti-trans next?”

“I mean, no,” said one of the pro-life students. “We are talking about abortion.”

“This is bulls***. This is violent,” Rodriguez added. “You’re triggering my students.”

The professor focused her attention on to the male student, suggesting he had no business being pro-life because he can’t have a baby.

“You don’t even know what this is,” said Rodriguez, asserting that because he is male he cannot understand the concept of abortion or hold valid opinions on the issue.

“Get this sh*t the f*** out of here. F*** this sh*t!” Rodriguez said as she began vandalizing the pro-life group’s table.

On Tuesday, a reporter for the New York Post went to Rodriguez’s apartment to ask her about the video of her vandalizing the pro-life students’ table, which had just gone viral.

In another recorded incident that has since gone viral, the professor came out of her apartment with a machete, which she held to the reporter’s neck.

“Get the f*** away from my door! Get the f*** away from my door!” she screamed before retreating back inside the apartment.

Rodriguez allegedly threatened to “chop up” the reporter with her machete before actually coming out with the weapon. She proceeded to follow the reporter and his photographer out of the apartment building, still with the machete, and threatened, “If I see you on this block one more f***ing time, you’re gonna… Get the f*** of the block! Get the f*** out of here, yo!”

Rodriguez finally left the reporters alone and went back into her building, but not before she kicked the reporter in the shins.

Rodriguez was fired from Hunter College just hours after this incident occurred. A spokesperson for the college, Vince DiMiceli, told the New York Post, “Hunter College strongly condemns the actions of Shellyne Rodriguez and has taken immediate action.”

“Rodriguez has been relieved of her duties at Hunter College effective immediately, and will not be returning to teach at the school,” DiMiceli confirmed.

On Thursday, the former professor was arrested and, as she was leaving the precinct in handcuffs, reporters noticed her tattoos, one of which said “FTP,” which means “F*** the Police.

The New York Post reported that Rodriguez is actually a member of Take Back The Bronx and helped to organize the “FTP” protests in the Bronx following the death of George Floyd.
