The media defamed Nicholas Sandmann after a viral confrontation with a Native American activist in 2019; the young conservative activist now believes that Rittenhouse should sue for damages if he is found innocent in his ongoing trial.

Sandmann has successfully sued both the Washington Post and CNN and was awarded $250 Million in damages from The Washington Post and $200 Million from CNN.  In an opinion piece for the Daily Mail, the young activist wrote:

“This is the problem with liberal media outlets in the United States.  They want to get the story first, get the most views, make the most money, and advance the agenda from liberal patrons. These outlets cover themselves when they are wrong with small footnotes at the ends of long articles, clarifying that new information has come out and that they have updated their coverage.”

Sandmann became a target of liberal ire after a heavily edited video in 2019 showed him confronting activist Nathan Phillips at a pro-life protest in Washington DC.  As more details emerged, it became clear that Sandmann and his fellow students at the protest were not harassing Phillips and that Phillips was the one who approached them.

Prominent liberal media outlets labeled Rittenhouse a “white supremacist” in the wake of the Kenosha riots.  President Biden also called Rittenhouse a white supremacist.

When his Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, was pressed on the issue at a press conference, she refused to explain the designation.  Sandmann further elaborates on this, saying, “every single label on Kyle as a ‘terrorist,’ ‘white supremacist,’ and ‘school shooter’ in the streets of Kenosha, will only ever be withdrawn after the damage has been done.”

Today, shortly after Kyle Rittenhouse was found not guilty of all charges against him in a Kenosha courtroom, Nicholas Sandmann announced that he’d be appearing on Fox News’ Hannity tonight at 9 PM ET to discuss the Rittenhouse trial.
