The Pentagon has just revealed how many total casualties the U.S. has suffered during Operation Epic Fury.

To date, approximately 140 U.S. service members have been wounded as part of the Iran conflict.

Later, the Pentagon confirmed that report.

Sadly, a total of 8 were severely wounded and are still receiving intense medical care.

But, there is also some good news — 108 out of the 140 soldiers injured have already healed and returned to service!

ABC News shared a statement from the Chief Pentagon Spokesman:

Since the start of the war with Iran, 140 U.S. service members have been wounded, but a majority of the injuries have been minor, according to the Pentagon.

“Since the start of Operation Epic Fury, approximately 140 U.S. service members have been wounded over 10 days of sustained attacks,” Chief Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell said in a statement on Tuesday. “The vast majority of these injuries have been minor, and 108 service members have already returned to duty. Eight service members remain listed as severely injured and are receiving the highest level of medical care.”

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also addressed the casualties:

Please pray for these soldiers to make a full recovery as well as for the safety of all of our troops!
