It’s hard to believe that American citizens are shocked at what is happening in the U.S., worldwide, and particularly in Afghanistan.

In addition to the fact that the rabid left has assumed control of the greatest country on earth with the mightiest military, they are pretending to do it all with a senior citizen at the top who was incompetent before his (undeniable) severe cognitive decline.

Who couldn’t have predicted this world-stage sh*t show in Afghanistan? Conservatives expected this. Frankly, leftists did too, and that’s the scariest part of it.

Patriotic Americans, like the rest of the thinking world, are horrified, ashamed, and outraged. Liberals, on the other hand, especially those in positions of power, have to be delighted with what’s going on because they’ve engineered it. If their goal was anything other than diminishing the United States in the eyes of the world and emboldening our enemies, what would they have done differently?

The Epoch Times reported: U.S. troops have not rescued any Americans in Afghanistan outside of Kabul, though they have the capability to do so, the Pentagon said Wednesday.

Only three rescue missions have been conducted by American soldiers since the Taliban took over the country, according to military officials. But all three took place within Kabul, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby told reporters in Washington.

“Could it be done outside Kabul, if needed? We have the capability,” he said.

“I’m not suggesting that it would be well outside of Kabul. I’m not suggesting that it would be throughout the whole countryside,” he added later. “When I said ‘outside Kabul,’ I’m talking about relatively close by. I don’t want to set the expectation that we’re going to be able to fly all over the country to pick up people.”

The reason why that distance is so small is because the focus of the mission is on protecting the Hamid Karzai International Airport, where flights are departing regularly with Afghans, Americans, and others, Kirby said.

Asked if the United States could help an American couple who is reportedly in Mazar-e-Sharife, he answered bluntly, “No.”

3- rescue missions have been conducted thus far, all have been “a short duration and a short distance from the airport, including one to the Baron Hotel where 169-people who couldn’t get to the airport were rescued, according to Kirby.

According to the report, approximately 1,500 Americans remain in Afghanistan, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced shortly before Kirby answered questions from reporters. U.S. officials have repeatedly said that they expect to be able to evacuate every American who wants to leave the country by an Aug. 31 deadline that President Joe Biden imposed.

On Wednesday we reported that during a press conference on cybersecurity, Joe Biden joked with an NBC reporter about the evacuation in Afghanistan. He smirked after the reporter questioned the deadline of August 31. The audio feed was immediately cut after the question, but Biden could be heard joking and commenting.

Is the fact that thousands of desperate people are still trying to get out of Afghanistan before the August 31 deadline a joke to him? Desperate people are struggling to save themselves and their loved ones before it’s too late.

NBC’s Peter Alexander asked a great question about Biden’s plan if Americans are still in Afghanistan after the deadline.

Biden smirked and then said, “You’ll be the first person I call.”

The Biden regime is playing this entire event off like everything is going fine when it is not. Americans are being blocked from leaving, and planes are leaving with very few people on board.

Tammy Bruce Tweeted:

The first step to overcoming an issue is admitting you have a problem. The Biden administration is in full denial of the facts as they exist:

America, you have your hands full. If we don’t right this ship, Democrats will get their wish and our beautiful ship will sink.
