Independent Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt continues to run an effective campaign, exposing the chaos ushered in by his rivals’ policies while fending off slings and arrows from Hollywood leftists.
Among the most recent examples was a late-night screed from Jimmy Kimmel, who railed against the former reality TV star using a string of superficial attacks.
Although Pratt has utilized AI and theatrics to spread his message, his reaction to Kimmel was rooted in reality and the personal motivation he had to enter the race.
Here’s what Fox News reported:
The late-night host did acknowledge voter displeasure with Los Angeles leadership and that the city was a “mess.” However, he said that Pratt didn’t have any solutions.
ADVERTISEMENTKimmel noted that Pratt was polling in second place.
“And if he’s one of the top two candidates after the primary next Tuesday, a week from tonight, he will be one of our two choices for mayor of Los Angeles,” he said. “So if you don’t want to vote for Karen Bass on June 2, I get it. But you better find somebody else to vote for. And preferably somebody who isn’t wasting our time and money to get himself back on television.”
“And for the rest of the candidates running for mayor, I hope you’re paying attention to why you are currently trailing this person,” Kimmel added.
Pratt responded to a headline about Kimmel’s criticism on X.
His invocation of the Palisades Fire that claimed his family’s property along with so many others across LA drew an array of responses overwhelmingly in support of his candidacy, in opposition to Kimmel’s comments, or both:
just a reminder, they laughed at Ronald Reagan also. They brought up Bedtime for Bonzo more times than one could count. They did everything they could to make him a joke, and it didn’t work. pic.twitter.com/Y0dIzIfsGy

For a lot of Americans, this level of societal collapse is still just around the corner. But it is coming.
LA, it’s on your doorstep, or what’s left of it. This could be your last chance. Vote for common sense while you still can. pic.twitter.com/qiv2oiIIyq

Here’s how The Hill covered Kimmel’s remarks:
Kimmel is not the only entertainment figure to go after Pratt in recent days, with former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Lisa Rinna saying she won’t support Pratt in the Los Angeles mayoral race. Rinna said voters should avoid electing another reality star into public office.
“I’m a reality person. You wouldn’t want to see me as mayor,” Rinna told Variety at the American Music Awards on Monday.
When reached for comment, White House spokesperson Davis Ingle said that “nobody in their right mind cares what seriously unfunny Jimmy Kimmel thinks.”
