During the Coronavirus Task Force press conference today, President Trump asked the question every Democrat has been avoiding since Joe Biden announced his candidacy for president.

President Trump asked why Obama hasn’t endorsed his former VP Joe Biden:

“It does amaze me that President Obama hasn’t supported Sleepy Joe. It just hasn’t happened…”

The president then teased that there is something he knows about Biden that is the reason Obama hasn’t endorsed him:

“He knows something that you don’t know that I think I know. But you don’t know.”

Could it be that President Trump knows that in the end, Joe Biden won’t be the nominee?

President Trump also made the point that Bernie Sanders didn’t give up his delegates. He tweeted earlier today asking what that’s all about.

Sanders announced today that he is suspending his campaign:

Bernie Sanders has officially suspended his campaign on Wednesday. During an all staff conference call, Sanders announced that he is suspending his campaign for president.

He previously said he would fight on and that the path was narrow, but it just got too narrow. One thing he did is drive the Democratic Party far left. The big question is whether Biden can hold onto that progressive swell of young voters that Sanders stirred up?

This clears Joe Biden’s path to the Democratic nomination and a showdown with President Trump in November.

In his statement about his withdrawal from the race, Sanders listed all of his socialist policies aka freebies. He also said he wouldn’t be releasing his delegates and that he will stay on the ballot:

“I will stay on the ballot in all remaining states and continue to gather delegates… We must continue working to assemble as many delegates as possible at the Democratic Convention, where we will be able to exert significant functions.”

President Trump tweeted out saying what everyone is thinking:

Joe Biden is the presumptive nominee now and will face President Trump in November. Just a reminder of what Joe Biden brings to the table:

Will there be an effort to skip debates between Biden and Trump?
