President Donald Trump rolled into Michigan on Sunday with the midterms just days away — and thousands of fired-up supporters were already waiting for him.
The scene outside McMorran Place Arena in downtown Port Huron told the story before Trump ever took the stage. Long lines of people in red hats and patriotic gear stretched through the city as voters gathered for the final campaign push.
One video posted Sunday morning showed the line winding down the street, with the poster saying some supporters had been waiting since the night before.

That was not the only angle. Michigan journalist Dave Bondy captured another view of the growing crowd gathering in Port Huron hours before Trump’s scheduled remarks.

MLive independently reported that thousands of supporters were standing in line Sunday and described a “sea of red” surrounding the arena. Nearly everywhere its reporter looked, attendees were wearing Trump hats, shirts, hoodies or other campaign gear.
The crowd did not come only from Port Huron. Supporters traveled from across Michigan, including a family that made a three-hour trip from Muskegon.
One attendee said Trump keeps his promises, while another urged voters to give Republicans a chance after years of Democrat control in the state.
The local report said people were focused on immigration, Michigan’s economy and the coming midterm elections. It also noted that Trump was making the first visit by a sitting president to Port Huron and St. Clair County, turning an ordinary Sunday in the city into a historic political event.
The rally comes at a pivotal moment. Michigan voters go to the polls on November 3, and Republicans are fighting to win key statewide and congressional races while protecting the Trump agenda in Washington.
Trump’s appearance also came one day after former President Barack Obama campaigned with Democrats in Detroit.
But the energy on the ground Sunday was unmistakably red.
Real America’s Voice spoke with a grassroots volunteer who said she was hearing from Michigan Democrats prepared to cross party lines in the Senate race and support Republican Mike Rogers.

Ahead of Trump's Michigan rally, a grassroots volunteer says she's hearing something surprising while knocking on doors:

Other voters delivered a much simpler message as they waited for the president: “USA! USA! USA!”
Asked why they came, one supporter answered, “We love him because he loves us.”

For one Michigan woman, the rally landed on her birthday — and seeing President Trump was how she wanted to celebrate.
“President Trump, we adore you,” she said. “Keep going, we support you.”

Doors were set to open at 11:30 a.m., with Trump scheduled to speak at 3 p.m. ET. The event is part of the president’s final push to turn voter enthusiasm into Republican victories up and down the ballot.
And Trump was not arriving alone.
Nicki Minaj posted from aboard Air Force One, calling herself the “Air Force One Barbie” as she traveled to Michigan to appear with the president.
The Washington Examiner confirmed that Minaj would join Trump in Port Huron in support of former Rep. Mike Rogers, the Republican nominee for Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat, and other GOP candidates down the ballot.
Minaj called the 2026 midterm election the most important of voters’ lifetimes and said Trump needs a strong team in Congress for the final two years of his term. She pointed specifically to Trump Accounts, the administration’s investment program for children, as one initiative she is proud to support.
Her appearance added serious star power to a rally already overflowing with MAGA energy. More importantly, it delivered another sign that Trump’s political coalition is reaching far beyond the usual campaign circuit as Republicans make their final pitch to Michigan voters.
