President Trump on Monday said Iran and Israel are both looking for an immediate ceasefire and that final peace negotiations are proceeding.
“Final negotiations on ‘Peace’ are proceeding, subject to ignorance or stupidity getting in its way. The Blockade will remain in place, and in full force and effect, until a ‘Final Deal’ is reached. Things should move quickly,” Trump said on Truth Social.

Trump’s post follows Iran launching missiles at Israel for the first time since signing a ceasefire agreement in April, which came in retaliation for an Israeli attack in Lebanon.
Israel responded and struck Tehran.
Iran Fires Multiple Missiles Into Israel For The First Time Since Ceasefire
Axios has more:
The exchanges on Sunday night and Monday morning are the most significant escalation since the April 8 ceasefire. They are threatening to unravel the negotiations between the Trump administration and Iran and draw the U.S. back into the war.
ADVERTISEMENTTrump called Netanyahu again on Monday morning and asked him to stop the strikes in Iran, an Israeli source said.
The source said Netanyahu told Trump he was ready to stop if Iran did not conduct more attacks against Israel.
But a second Israeli source said Israel would continue striking Hezbollah targets in Iran.
Earlier on Monday, Iran's armed forces had announced a suspension of its military operations but threatened "more severe and crushing measures than before" if the "aggression" continues, including Israel's operations in southern Lebanon.
Iran launched a barrage of missiles toward Israel on Sunday in retaliation for an Israeli attack on Lebanon, which it considered a violation of its ceasefire with the U.S. and Israel.
Trump told Axios he would ask Netanyahu not to retaliate so as not to "blow up" the deal he's negotiating with Iran, and soon after he called Netanyahu with that message.
Several hours later Netanyahu ordered strikes on several military targets in Iran, including in Tehran.
The Iranians then responded by launching more missiles, including toward Tel Aviv.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urged all sides to "exercise restraint" while working to find a "peaceful diplomatic solution."

CBS News shared further:
A diplomatic solution to the Iran war is "just about to be achieved," Pakistan's prime minister said Monday, urging all sides to "give peace a little more chance" after the worst violence in the conflict in two months.
"As we work earnestly and painstakingly … to find a peaceful diplomatic solution to the conflict, and especially when the final objective is just about to be achieved, we sincerely urge all sides to exercise restraint and give peace a little more chance," Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif posted on X.
"The recent surge in violence in the Middle East is a stark reminder of the dangers associated with a tenuous ceasefire and the unbearable consequences it may lead to," he added.
Pakistan has been working to mediate a peace deal between Iran and the U.S., hosting talks in early April in Islamabad that ended without an agreement and trying to arrange another face-to-face meeting since then.
The fragile ceasefire Pakistan has been hoping to build on appeared at its weakest Monday after Iran and Israel traded their first strikes in weeks. The clash started when Israel bombed southern Beirut on Sunday, attacking Hezbollah targets in the Lebanese capital in defiance of Washington's wishes.
