Democrats at the local, state, and federal level have faced mounting criticism in recent days as Los Angeles and surrounding areas continue to be decimated by multiple raging wildfires.

With President Donald Trump re-entering the White House for another term next week, however, one prominent Republican lawmaker is confident that there is light at the end of the tunnel for those impacted by the disaster.

Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) appeared on CNN to address the issue, as The Hill reported:

In an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Jake Tapper asked whether she thinks Trump should honor President Biden’s pledge for the federal government to cover 100 percent of the initial disaster response costs and whether Congress is prepared to act if more aid is needed.
