If this isn’t proof that transgenderism is a serious, dangerous mental illness, then I don’t know what is.
In an incredibly disturbing case out of Arizona, a former Marine recruit who wanted to “transition” has pleaded guilty to stabbing a young female hiker to death.
25-year-old Zion Teasley told police that the victim, 29-year-old Lauren Heike, was “what I would want to look like.”
In other words, he killed her because he wanted to be a woman just like her.

BREAKING UPDATE: Zion Teasley, who identifies as transgender, has pleaded GUILTY to m*rdering Lauren Heike.
Teasley said that he wanted to “look like Lauren” and was “battling with my gender identity and sexuality.”
At the time of the m*rder, he was also on probation for a previous armed robbery and other crimes.
Teasley’s plea deal avoids the death sentence. He still potentially faces life in prison.
Trans terrorism is real

Teasley was arrested days after Lauren’s body was found off a popular hiking trail in Phoenix, AZ.
Court TV reported:
Zion Teasley, 25, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the death of Lauren Heike, 29, whose body was found April 29 near a hiking trail close to her home. Investigators have said they believe she was killed the day before.
In documents reviewed by Court TV, investigators said that Heike’s body was found in the desert area behind a home; first responders who came to the scene described her as being in the early stages of decomposition. She was quickly identified after friends reported her missing when she failed to show up for work.
An autopsy revealed Heike had been stabbed 15 times in the upper body. The deepest wound was 3 inches, and investigators noted defensive wounds on her hands and forearms.
ADVERTISEMENTSurveillance video showed Teasley following the victim along the trail before both disappeared from view. “The suspect ran after Lauren and then sprinted away, before returning to the location where Lauren’s body was found and climbing over the barbed wire,” detectives said in an affidavit of probable cause.
DNA found on one of Heike’s shoes also matched Teasley, who had been on probation at the time of the attack after serving more than a year in prison for armed robbery and other felonies.
Teasley was a troubled man with a criminal record.
He had joined the Marines but left shortly after attending boot-camp.
Before murdering Heike, Teasley wrote some chilling passages in his diary about becoming depressed at the sight of beautiful women because he could not be one of them.
He had also gotten into trouble at work for showing aggression towards female co-workers.
The New York Post detailed further:
Before the murder, Teasley wrote in his diary that he was “battling with my gender identity and sexuality,” which he believed was conflicting with his Christian faith, according to a 400-page police report on the killing obtained by ABC 15 last year.
“I want to live a life of serving god, but how can I with these and other sins in the way,” wrote the killer, whose attorney called “she” in court.
ADVERTISEMENT“[I know] I am forgiven for my sins, but it’s still a lot of pressure and it’s hard to maintain a good Christian mindset 24/7.”
He said he was depressed by seeing “beautiful” women because he was stuck being “a man.”
When he was first interviewed by police, he denied having seen Heike anywhere but on the news — strangely telling officers, “That’s what I would want to look like…”
Teasley’s boss told police he had recently been fired from his job for being “aggressive” toward female employees — and had stolen clothing that matched what was worn by the killer.
Teasley’s sentencing is scheduled for December 4th.
ABC 15 shared a statement from Lauren Heike’s family in response to his guilty plea:
After 3½ incredibly long and painful years, our family supports the State’s decision to enter into a plea agreement in Lauren’s case. This means we will not have to endure a trial or sit in a courtroom and hear every painful detail of the crime that took Lauren from us. There is a tremendous sense of relief in knowing that we will be spared that additional trauma.
We fully supported the State’s efforts to seek the death penalty, but we are in agreement with the plea offer made by the defendant. He offered to plead guilty to first degree murder and accept a natural life sentence.
While no sentence will ever bring Lauren back, we are relieved knowing that he will never be released. He will never again have the opportunity to harm another person or cause another family to experience the unimaginable grief and trauma that ours has endured.
ADVERTISEMENTWe miss Lauren more than words can express. She should be here, living the life she loved and continuing to build the future she had dreamed for herself. Nothing can restore the dreams she had for herself or the future we were dreaming for her. We will forever grieve all that was taken from Lauren and from those who loved her.
As this chapter comes to an end, we hope to finally begin healing and to focus less on how Lauren’s life ended and more on the beautiful life she lived and the love and memories she left with all of us.
Please keep Lauren’s loved ones in your prayers.
What a sad and tragic end to a young woman’s life.
