Michigan’s radical Attorney General Dana Nessel is a fake feminist. She only defends women who are on the same team. If you’re not a Democrat and you happen to step out of line (and even if you don’t step out of line), you better be prepared to pay if MI AG Nessel has anything to say about it.

In 2017, the openly gay Dana Nessel shocked the nation when she campaigned on being the best candidate for Michigan’s attorney general position because she doesn’t have a penis. Watch the video here:

In May, we reported about Karl Manke, a barbershop owner in Owosso, Michigan, who defied Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s unconstitutional executive order and opened his barber and beauty shop to the public.

After the local Sheriff and a MI judge refused to prevent Mr. Manke from keeping his barbershop open, AG Nessel filed in court on behalf of MDHHS to enforce the shut down of his business.

Nessel was asked to explain her vindictive actions in a press conference, saying they “aren’t looking to put people in jail,” as she mocked the elderly barber fighting to keep his business from shutting down, saying, “He’s not a hero. He’s not a patriot,” warning that he was putting other people in danger by opening his doors. To date, no deaths or COVID cases have been traced to Mr. Manke’s barbershop.

One month later, in June 2020, 7 female hairstylists who participated in a free haircut demonstration on the front lawn of the Michigan Capitol building in Lansing were given $1000 fines and charged with criminal citations for daring to stand up for their livelihoods as Michigan’s far-left Governor Gretchen Whitmer determined which businesses were or were not allowed to survive in her state. Whitmer received full-backing from her dingbat AG, who, on multiple occasions, has threatened Michigan citizens with criminal charges for refusing to abide with unconstitutional, draconian lockdown orders.

Now, the far-left “feminist” has ordered the imprisonment of Marlena Pavlos-Hackney, a female immigrant and business owner, for daring to defy Governor Whitmer’s draconian lockdown orders. Marlena’s not a hardened criminal but instead, is a woman who fled communism in Poland and became a U.S. citizen who’s been forced to fight for her right to live the American Dream. While living in Michigan, she became the owner of Marlena’s Bistro and Pizzeria in Holland. She is now having an American nightmare because she’s being treated worse than the true criminals in the state of Michigan for “violating the state’s public health orders.”

Marlena Pavlos-Hackney

Nessel bragged about the arrest of the female immigrant and MI business owner.

“Nessel is eager to spend taxpayer-funded resources going after small business owners trying to stave off bankruptcy but refuses to investigate the deaths of thousands of nursing home residents potentially caused by policies implemented by her political-ally Gretchen Whitmer,” said Ted Goodman, Communications Director of the Michigan Republican Party. “It’s a massive abuse of power and shows what her priorities are.”

Ironically, on the same day Nessel had the female Polish immigrant arrested, she posted a tweet about celebrating “Women’s History Month.”

Hackney closed her almost 20-year business in March 2020 after Whitmer declared a COVID emergency and imposed her first lockdown orders. She then reopened when some of the restrictions were lifted by summer.

“Marlena simply wants to work to support her family and the families of her employees,” said State Representative Mary Whiteford, who represents the District where Marlena’s restaurant is located. “She reminds me of my dad, never wanting government handouts. Every one of her customers has chosen to eat in her restaurant. They refuse to let the government dictate their lives. Governor Whitmer must order her agencies to back down.”

When Whitmer reimposed a ban on indoor dining in the fall, Hackney chose to remain open in order to serve patrons, protect her employees, and continue pursuing her version of the American Dream.

“Your health is your responsibility,” Hackney told Michigan Capitol Confidential. “I work hard. You work hard, and you can accomplish many things. My employees depend on me.”
