On Friday, a man who claims to be the brother of ‘Lady Al Qaeda’, a high profile terrorist who is serving an 86 year prison sentence for trying to kill US military personnel, was holding four hostages in a Texas synagogue. He posted a livestream Friday afternoon and was in a standoff with Colleyville police, who deployed a SWAT team near the synagogue. In the livestream, he can be heard repeating that he is ‘going to die’. Yesterday, the FBI identified the man who was shot and killed in the standoff as Malik Faisal Akram. Two days after the incident, which the Michigan Attorney general attributed to ‘white supremacy’, the FBI has finally called it a ‘terrorism related matter’. FOX News Reports–

Malik Faisal Akram, the British national who was killed Saturday night after allegedly taking four people hostage inside a Texas synagogue, spoke “repeatedly” about a convicted terrorist during negotiations with law enforcement, according to an FBI statement obtained by Fox News.
The statement, which was released late Sunday, does not identify the terrorist serving an 86-year prison sentence in the U.S. on terrorism charges, but may shed new light on a possible motive.
“This is a terrorism-related matter, in which the Jewish community was targeted, and is being investigated by the Joint Terrorism Task Force,” the statement read.”
