On Friday, two elderly pro-life activists were brutally beaten outside of a Planned Parenthood in Baltimore.
On the morning of May 26, two men, 73 and 80 years old, were outside of a Planned Parenthood clinic when another man came up and attacked them for their pro-life views.
According to a police report, the incident was captured on security video surveillance and showed that the suspect began talking to the 73-year-old man, Dick Schaefer. The suspect turned away from Schaefer, then turned back and began to assault him, tackling him over a flower pot.
The other pro-life activist, 80-year-old Mark Crosby, ran over to help but was also shoved to the ground by the assailant. The elderly man was punched in the face as he lay on the ground, then kicked in the face with “extreme force.”
The attacker, who has not been identified by police, fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

Crosby, the elderly man who was reportedly punched and kicked in the face, had to be taken to the hospital for his serious injuries which included a large hematoma, hyphema, and head and neck pain.
Jay Walton, the President of Baltimore County Right to Life, has been updating the public on Crosby’s condition on Facebook. In a post from Saturday, Walton wrote, “Please pray for my dear friend, Mark Crosby. He was viciously attacked yesterday, May 26, 2023 while he was praying in front of Planned Parenthood in Baltimore City.”
According to Walton, Crosby had to return to the emergency room on Monday because he was “bleeding from somewhere behind his right eye.”
A GoFundMe page was also set up by Walton to help Crosby pay for his medical expenses.
On the page, Walton wrote, “For years, Mark has prayed in front of the Planned Parenthood in Baltimore City to let the scared, young abortion-minded women know that they are loved, that their baby is loved.”
The person responsible for this brutal attack has not yet been identified or apprehended by law enforcement. According to the police report, the suspect is a white male with brown hair and a full beard who was wearing a gray t-shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes at the time of the assault.
