After recent events, it appears the Department of Justice is beginning to take threats against President Trump’s life seriously.
As previously reported by WLT Report, former FBI Director James Comey has been indicted for a second time.
Comey, who was indicted last year for allegedly lying to Congress but later had his case dismissed by a judge, has now been indicted again, and this time, his charges are more severe.
According to the indictment, Comey has been charged with threatening the life of President Trump.
CBS reported more details on the indictment:
A federal grand jury indicted former FBI Director James Comey on Tuesday for allegedly making threats against the president, marking the second time he will be prosecuted by President Trump’s Justice Department.
The indictment charges Comey with two counts: knowingly and willfully making a threat to take the life of — and to inflict bodily harm on — the president, and second, knowingly and willfully transmitting in interstate commerce a threat to kill the president. CBS News reported that Comey was facing charges again hours before the indictment was issued.
The charges stem from an image he briefly shared to Instagram last year that showed seashells arranged in the sand to form the numbers “86 47,” sources had previously told CBS News. The indictment states that a “reasonable recipient who is familiar with the circumstances” would interpret the depiction of the shells in the photo “as a serious expression of an intent to do harm to President Trump.”
He was indicted in the Eastern District of North Carolina. The indictment is signed by Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew Petracca, and the case is assigned to Judge Louise Wood Flanagan.
Here was the post which has led to Comey’s indictment:

Fox News confirmed an arrest warrant was issued in the indictment:
The indictment aldo includes a Forfeiture Notice, meaning that if convicted, Comey must forfeit any property or proceeds derived from his alleged unlawful activities to the government.
It was unclear if Comey would be arrested or if he would be allowed to self-surrender. However, one of the court documents is described as a “Warrant issued.”
CNN reported that U.S. Marshals have been ordered to arrest Comey:
BREAKING: An ARREST WARRANT has been issued for James Comey — NOT just a court summons like last time
The US Marshals have been ORDERED by a federal judge in North Carolina to take James Comey into CUSTODY
