On Thursday afternoon, former President Donald Trump was indicted by a Manhattan jury in relation to payments made to adult actress and model Stormy Daniels.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicated that Trump will be arraigned next week, and Trump’s attorneys have continued to express their willingness to cooperate and coordinate Trump’s surrender to law enforcement.

Trump issued a statement calling the indictment “Political Persecution and Election Interference at the highest level in history.” roughly an hour after it was issued.

His sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., echoed his statement.

On Thursday evening, details about the indictment were leaked to the press.

Trump will reportedly be charged with 34 counts relating to business fraud and falsifying business records, details that were not supposed to be released to the public prior to Trump’s arraignment as the indictment is under seal.

Further details about the charges, including what exact crimes Trump is being charged with and the date of the trial, have not yet been revealed.

VICE News indicated that Trump may be hit with a gag order, which would prevent him from discussing the case in public while it is ongoing.

This is a developing story.
