Earlier today, we reported on criminal charges being filed against two California medical workers who physically blocked ICE agents to try to stop them from arresting an illegal alien who fled into the surgical facility.

Full story on that here:

Two Medical Workers Who Blocked ICE From Arresting Illegal Alien CRIMINALLY CHARGED

One of the workers was arrested this morning.

However, when we reported on the story earlier, his female counterpart had not yet been arrested.

Now, we have an update.

The woman, Danielle Nadine Davila, has turned herself in.

Take a look:

A statement from the DHS reads:

Today, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released the following statement regarding two medical staffers in southern California who are facing charges for assaulting and obstructing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California today announced federal charges against Jose de Jesus Ortega and Danielle Nadine Davila. DHS law enforcement arrested Ortega today and is seeking the arrest of Davila following charges for assaulting a federal officer and conspiracy to prevent by force and intimidation a federal officer from discharging his duties.

Danielle is the woman who can be seen in this viral video putting herself between an ICE agent and the illegal alien, as well as putting her hands on the agent:

Earlier, U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli announced the charges against the pair in a post on X:

My office has filed federal criminal charges against Jose de Jesus Ortega, 38, of Highland, and Danielle Nadine Davila, 33, of Corona, who are accused of assaulting and interfering with an ICE investigation earlier this month at a surgery center in San Bernardino County.

The media originally reported that the illegal alien was taken during a medical appointment. That was false. The illegal alien arrested inside the surgery center was not a patient. He ran inside for cover and these defendants attempted to block his apprehension by assaulting our agents.

It doesn’t matter who you are or where you work, if you assault our agents or otherwise interfere with our operations, you will be arrested and charged with a federal crime.
