American forces answered Iranian aggression with steel on Friday, and the message from U.S. Central Command was simple. Iran fired, and the United States hit back.
CENTCOM forces shot down four Iranian one-way attack drones launched toward the Strait of Hormuz. They then struck Iranian coastal surveillance radar sites in Goruk and on Qeshm Island.
This came after Iran widened its missile and drone attacks across the Gulf, targeting neighboring countries and shipping in one of the most important waterways on earth.
Tehran is talking tough while the talks go nowhere.

Mohsen Rezaei, a military adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, told CNN the negotiations are deadlocked and put it all on the United States.
He said President Trump must break the deadlock and claimed the ball is in Trump’s court.
Rezaei went further, threatening that Iran could drag the war beyond the region by attacking American bases.
That is the kind of threat that earns a response, and CENTCOM delivered one.
The Iranians also tried to claim a propaganda win they did not earn, saying they damaged U.S. 5th Fleet headquarters in Bahrain. Central Command called that claim false.
The Gateway Pundit laid out the full sequence of strikes and intercepts:
The US and Iran traded missile strikes, with Iran targeting neighboring Gulf countries and shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, on Friday, as negotiations to end the war stall.
Mohsen Rezaei, military adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, told CNN on Friday, “The negotiations are at a deadlock and (US President Donald) Trump must break this deadlock.”
“The ball is in Trump’s court,” Rezaei added.
He further threatened that Iran will “drag the war” beyond the region “by attacking these other American bases that we have been attacking so far.”
ADVERTISEMENTAfter intercepting six Iranian missiles launched in the Strait of Hormuz, “U.S. forces subsequently struck Iranian coastal surveillance radar sites in Goruk and on Qeshm Island to defend against further maritime attacks,” Central Command said in a statement late Friday, releasing video from the strikes.
“Initial assessments indicate six of the missiles launched by Iran were intercepted and a seventh did not reach its intended target. There are currently no reports of harm to U.S. personnel, and Iranian claims of damaging U.S. 5th fleet headquarters in Bahrain are false,” Central Command said.
“CENTCOM forces remain vigilant and postured to continue responding to unwarranted Iranian aggression in self-defense.”

There were no reports of harm to U.S. personnel.
The danger is not contained to American ships and bases. It is spilling across the Gulf.
Kuwait’s army told its people that Kuwaiti air defenses were confronting hostile missile and drone attacks, and warned the public to follow safety instructions.
That is what Iranian aggression looks like in practice. Civilians in neighboring countries forced to watch the skies because Tehran cannot win at the table.

The Strait of Hormuz carries a huge share of the world’s oil, and Iran knows that threatening it is a way to threaten everyone. That is exactly why American vigilance there matters so much.
Rezaei wants to pretend the pressure is all on the United States. The reality is that Iran is the one launching drones, firing missiles, and lying about the results.
President Trump and U.S. forces in the region hold the leverage, and CENTCOM made clear it is postured to keep responding in self-defense for as long as Iran keeps testing it.
Tehran can keep talking about deadlocks and threats.
Friday’s strikes were America’s answer, and CENTCOM says it remains postured to respond in self-defense.
