FOX News has gradually gone left, but the nail in the coffin for them was election night when they called Arizona for Biden early on.
Since that night, Trump supporters have left FOX News in droves. The Americans who want fair and balanced news are FED Up!
During the Million MAGA March in DC today, the Trump supporters got the chance to voice their displeasure with FOX News by shouting, “FOX News sucks!”
This will make your day!
“If FOX News wants to report like CNN, they will get ratings like CNN.”
President Donald Trump criticized Fox News, noting that their daytime ratings collapsed after the election.
Trump unleashed on Fox News, retweeting a dozen messages attacking the network and sharing one himself lamenting that Fox “forgot the Golden Goose” that made them successful.
The president cited the fable of the goose that laid the golden eggs, claiming that Fox News killed their audience by pitting their network against his presidency.
“[email protected] daytime ratings have completely collapsed. Weekend daytime even WORSE. Very sad to watch this happen, but they forgot what made them successful, what got them there. They forgot the Golden Goose. The biggest difference between the 2016 Election, and 2020, was @FoxNews,” Trump tweeted.
The president also retweeted a dozen different accounts that promoted conservative networks as alternatives to Fox News. Most of those accounts most had very few followers and had tweeted only a handful of times.
“Newsmax was the big winner election night. Fox lost many loyal viewers to them and have now discovered a new conservative home,” read one tweet that Trump shared.
Trump expressed irritation with Fox News throughout the 2020 election, even describing it as an “obstacle” to his campaign.
“You have such an incredible audience. So I can tell them about Fox being a big obstacle,” Trump said in an interview with talk radio legend Rush Limbaugh in October. “It’s a problem. Fox is a problem.”
He described Fox News as “no longer great” and blamed former House Speaker Paul Ryan for influencing the network’s more centrist and critical tone of the president. Ryan joined the board of Fox Corporation in March 2019. Trump yearned for the days when former Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes ran the network.
“When Roger Ailes ran Fox, I mean, Roger had a very strong point of view. It’s totally gone,” Trump said in his interview with Limbaugh.
