President Trump called out the three men running against him in 2020 calling them “The Three Stooges”. He focused on the one candidate who has a colorful past…Mark Sanford

Sanford famously went missing and said he was hiking in the Appalachian Mountains. The big problem is that he was in Argentina with his mistress (pictured on the right).

Sanford was married with four children (pictured on the left).

Apparently, he had fallen in love with the woman from Argentina and was sneaking around having an affair with her. This was quite a scandal at the time. Sanford got divorced from his wife and was later engaged to the woman who he eventually broke up with.

President Trump calls him out on it:

“When the former Governor of the Great State of South Carolina, @MarkSanford, was reported missing, only to then say he was away hiking on the Appalachian Trail, then was found in Argentina with his Flaming Dancer friend, it sounded like his political career was over. It was, . . . but then he ran for Congress and won, only to lose his re-elect after I Tweeted my endorsement, on Election Day, for his opponent.”

Trump mocks the three men running against him by calling them the “Three Stooges”:

“But now take heart, he is back, and running for President of the United States. The Three Stooges, all badly failed candidates, will give it a go!”

The “Three Stooges” are Mark Sanford, former Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh, and former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld.
