There are many things that can be said about Vivek Ramaswamy.

Whether you love him or hate him, the best thing that can be said about him is that he is clearly intelligent.

He’s certainly not afraid to be an outside-the-box thinker, but he also sees things for how they truly are.

While discussing who his ‘ideal’ pick would be for vice-president, Vivek raised some eyebrows by mentioning Elon Musk.

According to Ramaswamy, Musk fits the mold, though he could not actually run for VP due to being born in South Africa.

“I’m looking for people who are executives,” claimed Ramaswamy during a campaign stop.

“If you’re looking outside the pool, there’s 300 million mostly good people in this country … So, a lot of them are going to be outsiders. I mean, an ideal vice president would be someone like an Elon Musk. Now, he wasn’t born in the country, so he can’t, you know, but that’s the mold.”

Ramaswamy also praised Musk for being a fellow free speech absolutist.

Fox News reported on Ramaswamy’s comments:

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy revealed during a campaign stop Friday that his “ideal” pick for vice president would be someone like Elon Musk.

“I’m looking for people who are executives,” Ramaswamy said after a voter in Corydon, Iowa, asked if he would be able to find enough cabinet picks who agree “with you that won’t cut your legs off.”

“Not in the pool of Washington, D.C.,” the 38-year-old presidential candidate answered.

Vivek and Elon Musk have been friendly with each other in the past, and they are both free thinkers.

Feelings on Vivek are still mixed, but the man has certainly gained favor among many republicans.

Several still want to see him as President Trump’s VP pick.
