Veterans are standing up against a Connecticut town official who has been kneeling during the Pledge of Allegiance  at town meetings. The town is coming together to protest the unpatriotic actions of city official Melissa Schlag who has gained national attention. The most recent town meeting was packed with patriots who were vocal in their desire to stand and pledge. A rally was also held last Friday (photos below) to support the flag in opposition to Schlag.

Vietnam veteran Calvin Bunnell stood up and spoke from the heart to tell the citizens why it’s important to stand for the flag.

Calvin Bunnell really let Melissa Schlag have it when he showed up to protest her anti-American actions!  He was on Fox & Friends to explain why he feels Schlag is in the wrong for kneeling:

“When I first went into elementary school, that was the first thing they taught us, respect for the flag. When she does something like that, she is not representing the constituents of that town in the right way.” – Great Patriot Calvin Bunnell

ANOTHER VETERAN STOOD UP TO PROTEST:

HERE IS A VIDEO OF CITIZENS REACTING TO SCHLAG KNEELING:

THE TOWN HAS COME TOGETHER TO PROTEST SCHLAG:

A fellow city official said that Schlag removed the American flag from her office BEFORE President Trump was in office. She’s now saying she’s protesting because of President Trump so we’re not sure what the truth is here but she’s gotten loads of attention from the media. We chose to ignore her childishness until the citizens became active in protesting against her…That’s the real story in all of this. Americans are stepping up to show their patriotism!

The citizens are calling for Schlag to resign but she refuses. She has one more year to serve in her position and we’re thinking she won’t be reelected…Ya think?! The support for the flag has been tremendous! A rally was even held where the citizens put out small flags to show their patriotism. THIS is America!
