They built an octagon on the South Lawn of the White House.

Then Josh Hokit went out and stole the night.

At UFC Freedom 250 on Sunday, June 14, 2026, Hokit dismantled heavyweight slugger Derrick Lewis and finished him in the second round.

What happened after the final horn is what lit up the internet.

Hokit walked straight over to President Trump’s seat and handed the president a chain. Then he grabbed the mic with Joe Rogan and went rogue in a way that had the crowd roaring.

Start with the fight, because Hokit earned the stage.

UFC on Paramount showed the finish as it happened:

That alone would have made it a big night for Hokit. He moved to 10-0, beat a veteran heavyweight, and did it on the White House lawn.

Then came the moment with President Trump.

NBC News tracked both the fight and the aftermath in its live coverage:

Here come the big boys. Heavyweight Hokit, a former football player who went undrafted but spent time with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent, was an All-American wrestler in college before transitioning to MMA.

He’s 9-0 as a professional and most recently defeated longtime title challenger Curtis Blaydes via unanimous decision in April.

He faces fan-favorite Derrick Lewis in a matter of moments. Lewis (29-13-1), a 41-year old nicknamed “The Black Beast,” holds the record for most finishes in the heavyweight division and most knockouts in UFC history with 16.

He’s won two of his last three.

Derrick Lewis was knocked out by Josh Hokit in the second round of their match Sunday night. Hokit completely outclassed Lewis, who seemed slow and tired all fight.

Hokit connected on a right hook that stumbled Lewis late in the second round and caused him to start wobbling. He then landed a combination that sent Lewis to the mat, before he was finished with additional punches.

Hokit had won the heavyweight bout when he walked over to Trump’s seat and presented the president a chain. Then, during an interview with Joe Rogan in the middle of the cage, Hokit ended his remarks with an insult of Michelle Obama.

“Michelle Obama is a man, am I right America?” Hokit said.

The remark was received with a mixed response at The White House.

At the fan event, the comment elicited some laughter and cheers.

The chain moment quickly made the rounds:

And that still was not the end of it.

Once Joe Rogan put a mic in front of him, Hokit credited Jesus Christ, threw out a callout to Alex Pereira, and then landed the line that sent the clip flying across X.

You can see exactly why the room reacted.

Win, gift, Jesus, a callout, and one final mic drop.

Hokit packed it all into under a minute.

And on a night when the White House lawn became a fight venue, the undefeated kid still found a way to be the headliner.
