After Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti pledged (video below) he would “identify $250 million in cuts so we can invest in jobs, in health, in education and in healing, especially in the city’s black community,” the LAPD confronted LA City Councilwoman Rodriguez over the cuts to the police budget:

If anything, the budget for officers should be higher. After the looting and destruction of cities like Santa Monica, the benefit of more officers would outweigh the cost of rebuilding the city:
