We can blame guns all we want, but that will never solve the problem. We can turn this into a  partisan issue. Yet, the reality is that this is a failure of our leadership from every government official, school board member, and administrator to protect our children and those that work to help them learn and grow every day. We adeptly manage to protect fans by the millions in every major sporting event or concert in every stadium in America. Our tax dollars protect political figures,  yet our most loved and vulnerable children are left unprotected. We can manage to send 40 Billion to protect Ukrainians, yet claim we don’t have funding to set up proactive measures to protect our schools.

Victims of Robb Elementary School massacre in Uvalde, TX.

Andrew Pollack’s daughter Meadow was tragically murdered in the Stoneman Douglas High School mass shooting on February 14, 2018, and has become a school-safety proponent. In reaction to the horrific school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, Pollack began his discussion with Fox News host of “The Ingraham Angle,” Laura Ingraham, on Tuesday, stating that he was “so angry that I’m practically shaking right now at what happened and what these parents have to deal with.”

Pollack told the host: “We have $40 billion to send over to Ukraine to protect their borders, but we can’t protect our children in our country…how many policemen could we have paid with $40 billion to be at schools or to put in the glass that we need, or the metal detectors in some areas, or bullet-proof glass…we could use it here in this country,” Pollack asserted.

“Americans are suffering,” he added.

“We have money, but we’re spending it in all the wrong places,” Ingraham agreed as she wrapped up the discussion, having opined to Pollack earlier in the segment that many local communities have yet to put safety measures in place for reasons of “budget” or “desire” or for other reasons.

After this devastating tragedy occurred, instead of taking the opportunity to unite Americans in mourning our loss, as Biden claimed he would do, he gave an opportunistic speech in an apparent effort not to let the emergency go to waste.

Matt Walsh nailed it in his tweet calling out Biden’s statements in his press conference. “Biden had a chance to unite the country in our mourning of the lost innocent children, but instead, he rambled about the gun lobby, attacked Republicans, and wandered off the stage. We are being led by an incompetent, incoherent fool who also happens to be a very bad man.”

Fox News host Tucker Carlson hammered a “bitterly partisan” and “frail” President Joe Biden for immediately going on air to call for gun control, wasting no time dividing our country in a moment of deep pain rather than uniting while “desecrating” the memories of 19 children and two teachers in Texas after a gunman went on a shooting spree at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.

“The President of the United States. Frail, confused, bitterly partisan, desecrating the memory of recently murdered children with tired talking points of the Democratic Party. Dividing the country in a moment of deep pain rather than uniting. His voice rising, amplified only as he repeats the talking points he repeated for over 35 years in the Senate. Partisan politics being the only thing that animates him. Unfit for leadership of this country,” Carlson stated following Biden’s scripted and timed comments after the massacre.

Biden wasn’t alone in his politicization of the shooting in Texas. Leftist network newscasts used the tragedy to target gun owners and make fiendish comments to stoke further division. Protecting Americans should be a non-partisan issue! No matter your party affiliation, every taxpaying American citizen has a child, grandchild, relative, neighbor, or friend that attends our schools every day as a student or an employee and should care about their safety. At the same time, gun-control-pushing Democrats sought to immediately politicize the tragedy, even as violent crime surges in Democrat-led areas throughout our country. American taxes should protect Americans FIRST in schools and our borders instead of funding a taxpayer spending spree in eastern Europe. At the same time, the Biden Administration has left our United States Southern border seemingly wide open and our schools inadequately funded to protect the most vulnerable adequately.
