A young executive at Bank of America was stabbed to death in Times Square on Monday during a violent rampage that ended in a police-involved shooting with the knife-wielding suspect.
Erin Piacenti, 32, of Chester, New Jersey, was fatally stabbed near the Crossroads of the World.
According to reports, the suspect stabbed Piacenti and wounded an elderly man before being shot dead by police.

Piacenti was employed by Bank of America in New York City, working as the Vice President of Business Selection and Conflicts, sources told The Post.
ADVERTISEMENTShe was a 2016 graduate from the University of Pennsylvania and 2021 graduate of Fordham Law School, according to her LinkedIn profile.
The successful career woman had also just celebrated her second wedding anniversary on Aug. 10, according to social media posts.
Piacenti was knifed in the abdomen in the “unprovoked attack” near 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue around 4:30 p.m., NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch told reporters after the attack.
Pamela Cisneros, 49, had whipped out a pair of kitchen knives and stabbed the first victim, a 68-year-old man, in the abdomen after he exited the subway on West 41st Street.

"During the encounter, she told the officers, 'I'm not dropping anything. I would rather kill both of you.' She repeated, 'I will kill you,'" Tisch said, according to CBS News.

Multiple officers deployed their tasers, but police say they were ineffective. That is when two officers fired their weapons, killing Cisneros.
Bank of America spokesperson John Yiannacopoulos released a statement about Piacenti.
"We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague. She was a valued teammate who will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to her family and all of her loved ones," it read.
The man who was stabbed remains stable in the hospital, officers said. Police sources said he was with his wife and had been visiting their son who lives in Brooklyn.
ADVERTISEMENTThe two were on their way back home when the attack happened. Sources said he had no connection to Cisneros and there wasn't a prior altercation before the attack.
On Tuesday morning, tourists and locals in Times Square were unnerved, learning about the violent encounter that unfolded.
