It has been revealed that the second set of classified documents from Biden’s time as Vice President was found in his “locked garage” in Delaware.

Reports recently surfaced of classified documents being recovered from Joe Biden’s private office at the University of Pennsylvania that he used during his time as VP, during which he did not have the authority to declassify any confidential documents. These documents were found in November, but this was kept quiet until after the midterm elections were over.

A few days after this story broke, Biden’s aides uncovered an additional set of classified documents being held in his garage.

On Thursday, Richard Sauber, a special counsel to the president, said that Biden’s lawyers searched his residences in Wilmington and Rehoboth where he may have had files shipped from his vice presidential office in 2017. Sauber reported that this search uncovered a “small number” of Obama-Biden administration classified documents in the president’s garage in Wilmington.

Biden spoke to reporters about the second batch of documents on Thursday, where he was grilled by Fox News journalist Peter Doocy for his carelessness.

“Mr. President… classified material next to your Corvette?” Doocy asked in disbelief. “What were you thinking?”

“I’m gonna get a chance to speak on all of this, God willing, soon,” replied Biden. “And by the way, my Corvette’s in a locked garage, okay? So it’s not like they’re sittin’ out in the street.”

Biden then continued to downplay the situation, although he and the rest of the Democrats tore into Donald Trump for the same thing, accusing him of threatening national security. However, Trump had his documents in a secure, locked-down location. Not to mention that, as the president, he was permitted to declassify documents.

“As I said earlier this week, people know I take classified documents and classified materials seriously,” said Biden. “I also said we’re cooperating fully and completely with the Justice Department’s review. As part of that process, my lawyers reviewed other places where documents of – from my time as vice president were stored, and they finished the review last night. They discovered a small number of documents with classified markings in storage areas, in filed cabinets in my home and my personal library.”

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy addressed this incident on Thursday, refusing to let Biden and his administration sweep this under the rug. McCarthy insisted that “Congress has to investigate this.”

“They knew this has happened to President Biden before the election, but they kept it secret from the American public?” McCarthy said. “He goes on ’60 Minutes,’ criticizes President Trump, even knowing what he had done and he wasn’t president at the time?”
