Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (CA) took things too far today, forcing the standing House Chairman, Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO), to reprimand her for a “personality-based” attack against President Trump before he chose to “abandon the chair.” The last time a Speaker was penalized for using words that are out of order, was in 1985.

Escalating tensions on Capitol Hill erupted into a floor fight in the House of Representatives on Tuesday afternoon, as Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke in favor of a proposed resolution condemning “racist” comments by President Trump — and Pelosi’s words were eventually ruled out of order by House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, a Democrat.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy tweeted:

BREAKING NEWS —> Speaker Pelosi just broke the rules of the House, and is no longer permitted to speak on the floor of the House for the rest of the day.

In a follow-up tweet, McCarthy admonished Pelosi and her Democrat cohorts for their behavior:

The facts are clear: the House rules of order and decency were broken by the very person tasked with upholding them—the Speaker of the House. But just now, Democrats voted to ignore the rules and give special treatment to one of their own.

Watch:

“The words used by the gentlewoman from California contained an accusation of racist behavior on the part of the President,” Hoyer said, in a decision that technically banned Pelosi from speaking on the House floor for the rest of the day. “The words should not be used in debate.”

Last week, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a member of her own party, accused Speaker Pelosi of racism, when she pointed out the insignificance of the four loudmouth freshmen lawmakers who are dragging the Democrat Party down with their radical behavior.
