Business entrepreneur Kevin O’Leary gave many politicians a tough lesson in business economics. O’Leary gave an interview on the Morning show on CNN and did not shy away from talking about how Democrat policies were responsible for driving business ventures out of liberal-run states. He took aim at Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who kept Amazon from moving one of its large offices to New York City, costing the city and state jobs and tax revenue. O’Leary said Ocasio-Cortez is “great at killing jobs. She kills jobs by the thousands.”

. O’Leary deems states that insist on ridiculously high taxes and stringent policies as “Uninvestable” He said,

“I don’t put companies here in New York anymore. Or in Massachusetts or New Jersey, or in California. Those states are uninvestable. The policies here are insane. The taxes are too high. We put them in Fargo, North Dakota, because 40% of the people work elsewhere, including Boston, so I was in a bit of a debate with Senator Warren about this, but I said look, senator. We’ve gotta move the companies out of your state because you’re not an investible anymore. You’re punishing people if they’re successful. You overtax them. You hit them with a supertax. New Jersey, what a mess! New York is uninvestable. I had a project in upstate New York behind the great Niagara Falls electricity, a global data center we are building—-eventually, it got so bad with the politicians in the local region and the state policy we moved it to Norway. Norway has it now. I mean, that’s it. New York is uninvestable. Sorry, don’t shoot the messenger!”

The 68-year-old Canadian investor also called out Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts. He told her, “we’ve got to move the companies out of your state because you’re not investable anymore. You’re punishing people if they’re successful, you overtax them, you hit them with a supertax.” He added, “The regulatory environment is punitive.”

O’Leary made much of his money early on with the sale of a software company, but the millionaire has become a popular business guru and household name from his time on the tv show Shark Tank. O’Leary invests in companies across the country and admitted that he has resorted to moving companies outside of the United States after dealing with problems in New York state,

“Eventually, it got so bad with the politicians in the local region and the state policy we moved it to Norway – and all the jobs – Norway has them now, thousands of jobs coming out of that.”
