On Friday, Colombian president Gustavo Petro participated in a pro-Palestine protest in New York, where he incited violence and urged our nation’s soldiers to disobey President Trump.
Now, he’s paying the consequences.
The Trump administration is taking the matter very seriously and revoking Petro’s U.S. visa.
Read the State Department’s announcement on X:
Earlier today, Colombian president @petrogustavo stood on a NYC street and urged U.S. soldiers to disobey orders and incite violence.
We will revoke Petro’s visa due to his reckless and incendiary actions.

Here’s the original video of the Colombian president’s speech at the protest:
Wait, why is the president of Colombia, a foreign nation, on American soil leading a protest against Trump? pic.twitter.com/7J7F8UbbKT

Petro was in New York originally for the U.N. General Assembly.
From ABC News:
Petro, who traveled to New York for the U.N. General Assembly, participated in a pro-Palestinian demonstration earlier Friday. In video clips posted to social media, he can be heard appealing to American soldiers — urging them to disobey orders from President Donald Trump.
At the U.N., Petro gave a disgraceful speech comparing President Trump to Hitler.
Watch here:
Petro is lucky that he is only having his visa revoked.
Calling for mutiny against the sitting president could be treated as an act of terrorism.
@petrogustavo is a terrorist that demanded a military coup against President Trump.
Classify him for the terrorist that he is, and end all aid to Colombia immediately.

What do you think?
Should the punishment go farther?
