If far-left feminists get to complain about the supposed scourge of ‘mansplaining,’ conservatives should definitely have something to say about the ‘transplaining’ of those like actress Ellen Page.
Now identifying as a man named Elliott, Page recently starred in “The Odyssey,” which provides a bigger soapbox from which to spout LGBT talking points.
Most recently, Page sat down for a very friendly podcast interview that included a diatribe on why everybody who believes people can be grouped into male and female is actually very stupid.
As Breitbart reported:
Appearing on the extremist, left-wing Democracy Now podcast, Page attacked the “cis hetero patriarchal structure” and claimed that the traditional way we view gender is scientifically inaccurate.
The Canadian-born actor made waves in Hollywood in 2020 by announcing a “transitioning” from female to male, six years after announcing in 2014 that she was a lesbian. Page has since become a vocal LGBTQ+ and transgender activist.
ADVERTISEMENTOn the podcast, Page, who narrates the film, insisted that the normal gender ideas that mankind have supported for all of recorded history are “absurd.”
“In terms of looking at nature as if it’s some sort of cis hetero patriarchal structure is absurd, and that this, you know, gender binary that we’ve created is nothing but a quaint little myth,” Page said.
The actor added that Second Nature, the documentary he is flogging on the podcast, “really shows what we have been taught in school in regards to these structures — men being superior, women being inferior. You know, submissive or what have you — it being this heterosexual existence is just completely false.”
Unsurprisingly, Page’s take attracted a steady supply of backlash:

I don’t think animals know how to preform gender surgeries or even prescribe puberty blockers 🤣🤦🏻♂️

“The Odyssey” director Christopher Nolan drew some criticism of his own after downplaying the controversy surrounding the casting choice.
As Fox News reported, dutifully referring to Page with male pronouns:
“Comes with the territory,” he told The Telegraph. The outlet described him as “grinning serenely” before “lifting his cup and saucer and taking a theatrical sip.”
Nolan added, “But look, these conversations that happen before people see the film — they’re always irrelevant, because no one having them knows what the film actually is yet.”
Many people don’t view their issues with the film as “irrelevant,” nor do they seem to believe one needs to see it before criticizing it.
ADVERTISEMENTOne of the most common problems with the upcoming movie is in its casting choices — Lupita Nyong’o plays Helen of Troy, although critics argue her darker complexion contradicts the character’s description in Homer’s original epic, and Elliot Page, known for his short, slight build, plays Sinon, a Greek soldier.
The trailer has also gotten a negative response, with viewers calling out the modern language in the ancient Greek setting, as well as the lack of Greek actors.
Here’s another recent example of Page sharing an opinion that was widely unpopular outside of Hollywood’s leftist bubble:
