The left and the anti-police crowd are trying their best to control who is elected. They want candidates who will defund the police. Detroit’s Police Chief James Craig is a law and order candidate, so the thugs came out in full force to try and silence him during the announcement of his run for governor of Michigan. Protesters chanted, “No justice, no peace. James Craig is still police.”

James Craig is a common-sense politician who believes in following the law. He would be a fantastic governor for the state of Michigan.

The video below shows just how unhinged the left is about the candidacy of Craig. They are angry that Craig said the Black Lives Matter movement is a domestic terror group. He’s right!

One protester claimed Craig didn’t bring the crime rate down in Detroit but the Wall Street Journal praised Craig in July as ‘The Man Who Kept The Peace in Detroit.’

Ex-Detroit Police Chief James Craig formally announced he would run for Michigan governor as a Republican challenger to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Still, he was drowned out by dozens of “Detroit Will Breathe” protesters who surrounded the podium.

The thugs surrounded James Craig and harassed him.

OUR PREVIOUS REPORT ON JAMES CRAIG:

The Chief of Police of the City of Detroit, James Craig, plans to run against the state’s tyrannical Governor Gretchen Whitmer. She’s been a disaster as governor by following the far-left agenda of keeping her state locked down for as long as possible. During the past year, the misery and destruction of businesses can only be blamed on Whitmer’s draconian lockdowns.  If elected, Chief Craig would bring back the common sense that’s been lacking in the governor’s office with Whitmer. Politicizing the covid pandemic and ignoring common sense will ultimately mean the downfall of Whitmer.

The Detroit News is reporting the chief is expected to announce his retirement from the department on Monday, and he will follow that press conference with one discussing his future plans.

Chief Graig has acknowledged he discussed a candidacy with  Republican officials: “I’m a lifelong public servant. I want to continue to serve.”

Republicans have been looking for a good “crossover” candidate who appeals to both sides of the aisle, and Chief Craig fits the bill. He is a common-sense leader who has the respect of the community.

Recently, Chief Craig spoke out against Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib and Democrats who have been outspoken on abolishing the police:

Detroit Police Chief James Craig is fed up with politicians like Rep. Rashida Tlaib for calling for an end to policing and incarceration (see below).

During an interview with local Fox 2’s Let It Rip Weekend, Chief Craig literally let it rip on Rep. Tlaib:

“I’d love to see her resign; I’d throw her a goodbye party. Let her go. Who is she speaking for, Charlie? Let me just say this, when you talk about abolishing police, incarceration; you talk about safe cities…what do you think the residents in Detroit want? If I made comments on par with hers, they’d be calling for my resignation.”

Chief Craig also called her out on fake news CNN by saying she’s just trying to call attention to herself. Chief Craig believes this is all about politics, and he’s right. He had previously said he believes Rep. Tlaib’s comments are “reckless and disgusting.”

Chief Craig is one of the best in the nation and has called Rep. Tlaib out before on her radical rhetoric. In October of 2019, Chief Craig called Rep. Tlaib out on her racist rhetoric:

Rep. Rashida Tlaib made an appearance at the Detroit Real Time Crime Center with Police Chief James Craig discussing facial recognition software. Tlaib tweeted before the meeting that she objected to new facial recognition technology, so Chief Craig invited her to meet.

Tlaib said this during the meeting:

“Analysts need to be African-Americans …I think non-African-Americans think African Americans look the same.”

“I’ve seen it even on the House floor: People calling Elijah Cummings ‘John Lewis,’ and John Lewis ‘Elijah Cummings,’ and they’re totally different people. I see it all the time, and I love them because they go along with it.”

Chief Craig came back at her with the fact that there shouldn’t be discrimination:

Our previous report on Rep. Tlaib’s call for an end to policing and incarceration:

Rep. Rashida Tlaib got in on the protest in Minneapolis with a tweet that is blowing up on social media. Tlaib tweeted out a comment in reference to the recent death of a young black man in the city of Minneapolis. She believes the solution to black men dying at the hands of police to ban police and incarceration. She’s inciting more hate and division by saying there is no chance for reform and that policing should just not exist at all.

You have to wonder if Tlaib read or watched what happened to Daunte Wright during the attempted arrest where he tried to evade arrest. That’s a sure way to get shot or tased. The officer who shot him is on video saying she made a tragic mistake and pulled her gun and not her taser. Tlaib is saying it wasn’t an accident.

He also called out Re. Maxine Waters for inciting the rioters in Minneapolis. Our previous report on Rep. Waters:

Recently, Maxine Waters supported and doubled down on her adamant support for not only defunding police but eliminating police forces altogether.  Marxist Maxine is a slimy toilet creature with a history of inciting violence on camera and then denying it as it suits her and drumming up racism whenever and wherever possible.  She has no moral compass and equates anyone to the right of Marx as a white supremacist with no evidence.

There is a tense situation in Minneapolis surrounding the expected verdict, next week in the Derek Chauvin trial regarding the death of drug addict George Floyd, who was high on a fatal level of fentanyl as well as a cocktail of other drugs when Officer Chauvin arrested him.  This has nothing to do with Maxine Waters whatsoever.

Yet, in an effort to make the situation much worse, Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters issued unequivocal statements endorsing more ‘confrontational’ behavior by BLM and Antifa rioters who have already been violently rioting for several days in the lead-up.

“We have got to stay in the street,” said Waters, who flew in from California to incite more violence in Minnesota, despite having absolutely no reason for being there.

When asked about her position on due process and the verdict in the trial, Waters responded unequivocally that she does not respect the rule of law and strictly adheres to mob justice.

“We’re looking for a guilty verdict!…we are looking for a guilty verdict…if nothing does not happen then we know that we have got to not only stay in the street but we have to fight…”

Waters reiterated her intent to subvert constitutional law in favor of mob rule very forcefully:

“I hope that we get a verdict of guilty guilty guilty!…and if we don’t, we cannot go away”

She then reiterated, yet again, her complete lack of respect for jurors and the US constitutional criminal justice process.

“This is guilty for murder…As far as I’m concerned it is first-degree murder.”

Chauvin, of course, is not on trial for 1st-degree murder because there is no evidence to support such a charge.  Even the radical far-left Nation-of-Islam-believing AG of Minnesota, Keith Ellison knows this.  So, Waters is inciting a violent conclusion to this trial no matter what the jury does.

Waters concludes the segment by seeming to insist on increased ‘confrontation.’  However, given the incredible violence, destruction, and aggression by the rioters in Minnesota over the past year and the past few days, it is difficult to not interpret Maxine’s comments as a very clear call for violence and riots.  The violent and destructive protests, egged on by Antifa, BLM, and people like Maxine Waters, are already violent, so what could possibly be more confrontational than violence?

“We gotta stay on the street, and we’ve got to get more active.  We’ve got to get more confrontational.  We’ve got to make sure that they know that we mean business.”
